Well done to all the lads involved with the first trip to New Zealand of the Rangers Soccer Schools. All the places in Auckland, Wanganui and Wellington have now sold out! A waiting list is now in operation for any last minute cancellations.
Andy Thomson, Mikey Fold and Jim Baxter plus all our NZ brethern have done a sterling job in getting a real buzz about these events. Andy has also become a local radio star doing an interview on the Rangers coaches coming to New Zealand and the opportunity it offers the kids. The interest in the North Island is such that they now had lots of interest about having an event in the South Island next year. We've had one young lad who's so keen to come to this year's soccer school that he's making the trip all the way from Dunedin. Great to see the follow follow spirit is alive in well in NZ.
Anyone who can be ORSA's man on the ground down in the South Island can get in touch via the ORSA website and we'll put you in touch with our North Island lads. Rangers have also offered a spot at Murray Park on trial for 1 lucky boy from each camp, which has really helped get people signed up .
All kids signed up for the Rangers Soccer Schools will automatically become members of their local RSC's and thus ORSA and we look forwarding to welcoming some new friends into the Rangers family very soon!
